What is Wonda Pro?
Wonda Pro is a web-based platform that lets educators and trainers build AI-powered conversation practice simulations — without any coding or technical background. The core idea is simple: many professional skills, particularly in healthcare, business, and social work, can only truly be developed through practice with other people. But access to patients, clients, or realistic practice partners is limited, expensive, and hard to scale. Wonda Pro provides an alternative.
Using the platform, an instructor designs a scenario — a job interview, a difficult patient consultation, a cross-cultural business meeting — and configures an AI character to play the other person in that conversation. The character has a defined identity, personality, voice, and backstory. Learners access the simulation from any browser, speak directly with the AI character using their microphone, and receive a personalised written feedback report at the end of each attempt. They can repeat the same scenario as many times as they need.
The feedback is generated by analysing the full conversation transcript against evaluation criteria that the instructor defines themselves. Rather than offering generic rubrics, Wonda Pro asks educators to specify what good performance looks like in their context — whether that's empathy in a clinical consultation, clarity in a negotiation, or cultural sensitivity in an international business setting.
Wonda Pro integrates with major learning management systems including Canvas, Moodle, and Blackboard, and supports single sign-on for institutional deployment. It is used in nursing schools, medical faculties, business schools, and language programmes at institutions including Harvard, NYU, Carnegie Mellon, and the University of Sheffield.
