Voyage keeps a person-centred profile for each pupil and connects EHCP outcomes to the goals and practical targets staff set around them. It is a staff-facing system for special schools, bringing planning, assessment and learning records together in one place. Work can be routed through staff worktrays and approval steps, with a recorded history of who did what.

On the assessment side, staff can work from pre-formal through to formal learning using built-in and school-configured frameworks, recording progress with qualifiers set up around the school's own approach. Assessment-matrix and record-coverage views show what evidence has already been gathered. Alongside this, staff can capture written observations, photos and video as learning records, link that evidence back to assessment and planning, and moderate entries through comments. Agreed school forms are configured into the system during setup.

Implementation begins by understanding a school's current practice, agreeing a scope, and configuring roles, frameworks, forms and workflows with the team who will use them. Voyage was developed in collaboration with Princes Primary School, a specialist setting in Liverpool, and is led by a developer with a background in public-service software. It may also suit mainstream schools with a strong SEND offer, though it was built around specialist-school practice.
