What is Staffroom Pro?
Staffroom is a web-based lesson planning app purpose-built for UK primary school teachers. It takes the stress out of weekly planning by putting the national curriculum directly into a simple drag-and-drop timetable, so teachers can feel organised, prepared, and on top of their week.
Teachers select their region and year group during onboarding, and their curriculum objectives are loaded automatically. From there, they drag objectives into a weekly timetable, add notes and resources, and export clean plans as PDF or Word documents. The whole process takes minutes instead of hours.
Staffroom supports England (National Curriculum, Reception to Year 6), Scotland (Curriculum for Excellence, P1 to P7), and Wales (Curriculum for Wales, Reception to Year 6), with Northern Ireland and international support on the roadmap.
A built-in AI assistant can suggest lesson ideas, starters, differentiated activities, and spelling lists based on the teacher's year group and objectives. It supports, never leads. The teacher is always in control.
Other features include Teach Mode (a full-screen classroom display with timers, calculators, and interactive widgets), a Document Creator for building worksheets and resources, and an Overview Dashboard for tracking curriculum coverage and progress across the year.
Staffroom runs in any modern browser with nothing to install. It works on laptops, iPads, Chromebooks, and desktops, and can be added to a home screen as an app. It is fully GDPR compliant, with data stored securely in the EU. The AI assistant never asks for or stores pupil names or personal information.
Pricing is £5 per month after a 7-day free trial with full access.
