What is Pip 11+ Practice?
Pip 11+ Practice is an adaptive learning app for children aged 7 to 11. It covers maths, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning for the UK 11+ entrance exams, plus KS2 SATs revision. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Android tablets and phones, Chromebook and Amazon Fire. There are no ads, and the core practice is free.
Every answer shapes the next question. A short placement check finds each child's starting level in each area. From there, right answers make questions harder. When a child gets stuck, Pip eases back and offers a simpler building block before building up again. Each skill has a Pip Score from 0 to 100, and a skill only counts as mastered after a run of correct answers. Mastered skills come back for review checks so they stick.
Pip teaches as well as tests. Pip Teaches lessons are short and visual: children drag bar models, fold cube nets and move blocks to see why a method works, then practise it straight away. Hints teach the quickest method for the numbers in the question and never give the answer away. Numbers are highlighted in every question, which helps children with dyscalculia or ADHD.
Children stay motivated through weekly boss battles, Number Dojo fluency games, streaks, coins and the Learning Grove, a garden that grows from real practice. A grown-up sets a daily goal, from about 5 to 30 questions, and can change it at any time. A parent area shows progress by skill, so weaker topics are easy to spot.
Schools can recommend Pip as home practice, or use it in booster sessions and form time. The per-skill progress view helps target support where a child needs it most. Pip Pro adds full mock papers, an exam-date study plan, advanced non-verbal reasoning and harder Extreme challenges.
