What is Parle: French Pronunciation?
Parle helps English-speaking beginners move from French sounds to short practical conversations. Its 120 ordered A0–A2 speaking missions follow a Hear–Shape–Say–Use sequence: learners listen to reviewed model audio, use physical mouth cues, record an attempt, check which model-phrase words speech recognition detected, and reuse the phrase in guided role-play.
The reference library covers 35 core French sounds with IPA, common spellings, examples, and English mouth cues. Stage checks, streaks, and progress evidence support return practice. Optional AI Coach Léo provides additional conversation practice and may make mistakes.
Phrase Match reports which words in the current model phrase speech recognition detected. Speech recognition can be wrong. Phrase Match does not provide a pronunciation, accent, accuracy, fluency, proficiency, intelligibility, or CEFR score, and Parle does not provide real-time pronunciation correction or native-speaker comparison. Parle is designed for individual iPhone and iPad practice; no school deployment, roster import, teacher dashboard, or administrator controls are claimed.
