What is Make Music Count?
Make Music Count is a math curriculum and app taught through playing your favorite songs on the piano. In these lessons students solve real math equations where the answers are piano notes to immediately play songs on the piano. Students will learn two skills at the same time! Even if students have never played the piano before they will be able to do so all from solving math equations. This app is an excellent supplemental resource for math class, music class, or enrichment classes.
This platform was created to eliminate the intimidation that students feel towards mathematics. Through culturally responsive music and piano learning students will build their confidence in solving math problems that result in increased math scores and performance. Then lastly they will walk away knowing how to play real songs on the piano.
Recommended Usage
a minimum of 2 days a week for 15 minutes each day

Our platform works on any device. iPads and tablets are ideal but other acceptable devices are apple and android phones, desktop computers, chromebooks, and laptops. Make Music Count will create all of the student accounts and provide username and passwords. We will also provide teacher training to allow smooth onboarding. All schools will need to do is simply sign in and use the app.
