EDClass is a DfE-accredited alternative provider of online education designed to support pupils who thrive outside the traditional classroom setting. We have two main solutions for your school within one cost-effective platform.
Solution One: Internal Alternative Provision, On-Site Inclusion & SEND spaces
Core Focus: Keeping students on the school site while addressing behavioural, emotional, or learning challenges in a low-arousal, structured environment.
How EDClass Supports:
* Structured Virtual Classrooms: Provides targeted online curriculum content, functional skills, and academic catch-up without requiring extra teaching staff to plan bespoke lessons.
* Behaviour & Resilience Curriculum: Includes dedicated modules for Behaviour Repair, PSHE, Nurture, and Resilience, all directly mapped to exclusion and suspension codes. Helping pupils reflect on their actions, manage emotions, and prepare for smooth reintegration back into mainstream classes.

Solution Two: Off-Site Remote Provision & Safeguarded Online Education
Core Focus: Delivering full-time or part-time education remotely while ensuring robust, statutory-compliant safeguarding and attendance tracking.

* Live Timetabled Teaching & Support: Qualified UK teachers deliver live-streamed lessons, group sessions, and 1-to-1 breakout support to keep off-site learners engaged and aligned with national curriculum standards.
* Statutory Safeguarding (EDSafe): Built specifically to meet Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026 requirements. The platform features active web-filtering, live webcam/screen monitoring, and immediate alert routing directly to your school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
* Audit-Proof Evidence & Attendance: Tracks active study time, progress, and daily attendance metrics. It maintains an unalterable digital audit trail designed to satisfy Ofsted frameworks regarding "invisible" or off-site placements.

Recommended Usage
Determining a minimum usage for observing impact on students is challenging due to individual differences. However, based on our experience, we recommend an average of one hour of engagement per subject, per day as a general starting point. This level of interaction is often sufficient to see positive outcomes in knowledge acquisition, attainment, and behaviour. It's crucial to emphasize that individual needs vary significantly. Factors such as learning style, subject complexity, and student support requirements influence optimal usage. EDClass offers flexibility to accommodate diverse learners, allowing educators to tailor the platform to specific student needs.

A secondary school seat is £8,995 for the year, which provides 35 hours a week of Live timetabled lessons from QTS teachers. Students are fully safeguarded when using EDClass from home. There is no additional cost for students using EDClass in school or as homework. Here is an overview of EDClass' pricing structure:
