Chanakya AI evaluates handwritten and subjective answers using OCR and a language model, returning marks alongside the mistakes it found and suggestions for improvement. It is built for schools and, increasingly, universities working with the ICSE and CBSE curricula. Pupils in grades 6 to 12 complete worksheets on paper and upload their work by smartphone, or a school scans papers in bulk, so pen-and-paper practice stays in place while the marking is automated.

Teachers use it to generate chapter-aligned worksheets in a couple of minutes, choosing subject, topic and question types that range from multiple choice to case-study and long-answer questions, with answer keys and print-ready PDFs. Once answers are marked, an insights dashboard tracks concept-level weaknesses across a class, flags individual pupils who are falling behind, and produces per-student feedback. For universities, the same evaluation supports subjective marking and course-level analysis while faculty review and verify the output.

Subjects covered include mathematics, the sciences and social science subjects across both boards. Schools can start with a free one-month pilot covering one or two classes, take a self-service annual school licence, or use a managed service in which the Chanakya team handles worksheet creation, printing, collection, scanning, grading and monthly reporting.
